This weekend in Richmond, the biggest question is not what to do- but how to squeeze in everything with the time you have?
If you’re a local foodie, or someone who simply enjoys Richmond’s Food Festivals, then this is the weekend for you. Starting us off is the Annual Greek Festival, at Saints Constantine and Helen’s Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Malvern just past the Museum District. The festival continues on through Sunday, and you if on the go, you can take advantage of their Drive Through option. For those with a hankering for Moussaka or Souvlaki while at work- you can visit their web site for a call in number and order for you and your co-workers for pick up (minimum 10 people required- for Thursday and Friday only). Check out their menu and make your way there!
Up next is the Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ Festival at the Richmond Raceway Complex, featuring sixty beers, forty bourbons and enough BBQ to keep you stuffed until your next Festival. VIP tickets are sold out but general admission are still available through their web site.
Finally, end your weekend with a bang at Broad Appetite. Admission is complimentary and you can sample dishes from over fifty of Richmond’s best restaurants for just $3 each. This is the event’s third year and it has grown with leaps and bounds- the anticipated crowd this year is 25,000! In addition to great food, Broad Appetite will feature bands and live cooking demos. At the same time Metro Space Gallery, 119 W. Broad Street presents will have its doors open for its popular exhibit Soul Rebel: An Intimate Portrait of Bob Marley. David Burnett will be on hand to sign autographed copies of his book.
So grab your friends and enjoy your weekend!
We look forward to seeing you soon,
