When visiting Richmond as a family, it’s important to find fun for each member- even the smallest! The Children’s Museum of Richmond offers you just that- even now more than ever as they open their second location in the West End of Richmond called CMoR Short Pump.
According to the Museum:
CMoR Short Pump’s exhibits are themed on children’s storybooks. Children can play and explore many different worlds from the ‘Treasure-Island” like pirate ship to the cloud castle at the top of the Beanstalk Climber. Each exhibit offers varied opportunities for play and learning. Storytelling and communication is encouraged between generations as the exhibits are based on iconic children’s fairytales and nursery rhymes. Each exhibit contains open-ended activities that allow for free explorations, wonder, imagination and play.
CMoR Short Pump also boasts a 1,000 square foot Art Studio with themed tables, as well as a Mother Goose Corner, that allows infants and babies to roll around and encourages gross motor skills development.
So whether visiting the original CMoR in Downtown or the new location in Short Pump, your family is bound to find plenty of activities to keep the fun continuing on your next trip to Richmond.
See you soon,
