We’re back for our final best of 2010 Mansion Weddings- and today, we’re happy to share the wedding of Tiffanie and Shane.
We asked Tiffanie to share some of her favorite parts of her Wedding day and she shared the following:
“The way Mankin Staff made everything run so smoothly. There was never a second were I had to worry about anything. They made sure all of the details I had outlined were exactly as I had envisioned. Shane and I had a wonderful, perfect, carefree day!
Seeing all of the smiles of our of our friends and families faces. Being able to have our ceremony and reception so close together that allowed everyone to have a really good time.
The ceremony was perfect! The flowers, the mansion grounds..everything was magical.
Martin did an amazing job with the music at the reception! Everyone was up and dancing the entire night. There was one point when i looked around and there were hardly anyone sitting down.
The lanterns and lighting once it was dark was perfect! Made it a very cozy and romantic setting.
Being able to stay the night at the Mansion and wake up to breakfast with parents and immediate family was a real treat! It was great to really sit down and reflect about the amazing day that we had!”
Special thanks to Kim Stratton Photography for the images!
Enjoy!

And as you can see from the photos, the new Mr and Mrs weren’t the only ones having a ball.

Today, we’re thrilled to continue on in our Best of 2010 series by featuring the Fall wedding of Mary Kathen and Josh. The bride made sure the yellow really popped throughout the ceremony and reception- we can’t help but swoon over the centerpieces that incorporate lemons.

We can hardly believe it, but we’re beginning to wrap up our Best of 2010 Mansion series- we are tremendously grateful to all of the amazing brides and wedding photographers who have worked with us in the last month to showcase these very special days.
Up next, we have the wedding of Danielle and Tom, courtesy of Becca Marie Photography. Their wedding had all the right elements- happy bride and groom, cute shoes, yummy dessert table and a swoon worthy table runner. Did we mention our favorite shot of the chair ties on our chiavaris (we can’t help it!).
Without further ado–

Time to break out that ball gown or tuxedo. Why you ask? This February, an amazing cause called Zest Fest, which benefits the Central Virginia Food Bank and Meals on Wheels Serving Central Virginia is coming back to town.
Last year this event raised $165,000 dollars to feed the Central Virginia Area. Sixteen local chefs will lend their expertise to the event and the food served. Including Tuffy Stone of A Sharper Palate, a frequent caterer with our Brides at the Mansion will be their cooking up what is sure to be nothing less than mouth watering. Eight wineries will provide their finest wines for the evening also.
The event will include a silent auction, exciting live auction, dancing, and two Fight Against Hunger raffles. The first raffle includes a trip for two to Napa Valley for three nights and the second raffle will be a trip for two to Barcelona, Spain for six nights. Tickets are $150 dollars a person and include a cocktail hour, a extensive sit down dinner including Virginia Wine pairings with each course, dessert, dancing, and your entry into both raffle drawings. We hope you take time to help those in need in Central Virginia.
We here at the Mansion are also participating as we’re a proud supporter of Feed More. Visit the Historic Richmond Inns Blog here to learn more.
