Selecting a photographer to capture such an important day is a big decision. Once you select a photographer, you should consider having a conversation about the types of images you hope to have after your big day has come to pass. Regardless of who you select, they will be expecting to catch the typical wedding moments such as the first kiss, cutting the cake, the first dance, etc., but don’t be afraid to suggest additional moments you would like for them to keep an eye out for. We have a few suggestions (with examples!) to include in your requests!
Make sure your photographer captures plenty of unplanned moments. Whether that is between the bride and her parents, the bride alone, or the wedding guests – these candid moments will happen throughout the wedding festivities. These images will represent some of the most sincere moments of your big day.
Don’t forget to have photographs taken while you’re getting ready. Seeing these images will represent the first time you as a couple can see what went on behind the scenes, respectively. Additionally, we’ve been a witness to many sweet moments between friends and family during this special time.
No matter how hard you try, over time, you will forget specific details (it’s true!). Make sure your photographer takes time to capture each element that you so carefully planned. From your bouquet and the wedding cake to the centerpieces, each item was selected for a reason and you will want to remember how all of the components came together perfectly for your wedding day.
Thank you to Seth Roberts Photography, E. Leise Photo, Lori Allen Photography, Tiffani Sunshine Photography and Kristin Partin Photography for the fabulous photographs to perfectly illustrate these moments!
