Richmond Wedding: Sarah and Chris!

August 17th, 2012

Sarah and Chris just recently got married at the Mansion and we could not wait to share their photos with you all! This wedding had all of the special details from touches of pink, pretty pedestaled cupcakes and sparklers. Not to mention the couple was just fantastic to work with and the love between them just radiated throughout their wedding day.

We want to thank Laura Gordon Photography for capturing and sharing all of these lovely images.

Giving Thanks

November 23rd, 2011

It’s easy to sometimes forget to stop and take a quiet moment in the midst of work and errands along with holiday shopping and general to do’s that tend to pop up this time of year. But today, we’d like to do just that and express our gratitude to our friends, family, colleagues and clients, for being a part of another wonderful year. We are grateful for each and every one of you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Richmond Weddings: Historic Mankin Mansion in the News!

June 22nd, 2011

The wedding season has been busy here at Historic Mankin Mansion and we’re taking a break for a moment to share some exciting news!

You may have already scooped us, but this past month, one of our lovely weddings (shot by the fantastic Don Mears Photography) was featured in the latest Richmond Bride Magazine!

You may remember the Stoneman/ONeale wedding from our Best of 2010 series this past January, and this fun post by Don Mears Photography.

This week, we were positively thrilled to find out that another Mansion/Don Mears effort was highlighted once again, with the unveiling of the cover for the latest Richmond Weddings Magazine!

The cover, shot by Don Mears Photography, is just one of the lovely images featured in the Magazine from Lindsay and Matthew’s wedding last year.

Ready to get your hands on the latest issue of Richmond Weddings Magazine? Then join us this Sunday at the Richmond Wedding Expo, at the Hilton Short Pump, starting at 12pm!

Richmond Wedding Photo Shoot

May 6th, 2011

Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with some fabulous Richmond Wedding Professionals on a photo shoot for Tiffanys Bridal.  In fact, you may have read about it earlier this week on Bob’s Blog or Emily’s Blog.

The day was a bit colder and rainier than we would have liked, but the models (and pros!) were troopers! See below for a few of our favorites from what was a memorable day at the Mansion.

The Secret is out!

April 28th, 2011

Well the secret is out! Style Weekly has officially announced the winners of its Best of Contest for 2011 and we are thrilled to announce that we  one of the ones honored for Best Hidden Gem.”

Years ago, when we first purchased the property, we never would have imagined how quickly we were welcomed into the Richmond community.  We’ve made so many great friends- from the wedding and hospitality industries as well as those travelers who have called the Mansion “home” for a get away.

This great news was simply icing on the cake- we are humbled and grateful for the community’s support, as always.
