Wedding Trend- Unique Boutonnieres

August 11th, 2014

Creative Boutonniere Ideas

Flowers are an important part of a wedding and these days, grooms are getting more creative with their boutonnieres. And who can blame them? Brides can’t be the only ones rocking the aisle after all! These days, grooms don’t even have to feel constricted to flowers- the possibilities are nearly limitless!

Not sure where to start? Well today, we’re happy to share some tips to get you started:

  • Tip #1- First and foremost, consider the theme. Are you going for something more formal or a bit laid back? Remember- your location can also influence the look!
  • Tip #2- Next, incorporate the groomsmen when designing a boutonniere. For example, comic lovers could add tiny action figures instead of flowers, for a fun touch. This would also make the perfect keepsake for your most trusted friends.
  • Tip #3- Consider surprising your partner by paying homage to your love story. Any small gift they have given you will make a perfect addition to your boutonniere. For example, a letter turned into a paper flower could be a thoughtful detail appreciated by your fiancee, as well as attendees.

Want to make a subtle statement? There are a variety of options out there that would let you do just that. Leaves, succulents, and feathers make a simple but interesting addition for any season.

Bonus Tip for the gents- Ask your bride-to-be to kindly make room for you on Pinterest, which is chock full of inspiration. But it’s admittedly addicting- don’t say we didn’t warn you! :)
